Remuneration: Starting from £33k per annum

Do you have experience in a planning role? Are you interested in working in the logistics industry? We are looking for a Junior controller to join our organisation to help with our expanding business.

About Us:

We’re a dynamic and growing company specialising in same-day and express courier services across the UK. Known for our speed, reliability, and excellent customer service, we are looking for a proactive and experienced Same Day Courier Controller to join our operations team.

The Role:

As a Same Day Courier Controller you will be at the heart of our operation, coordinating urgent deliveries, managing a network of drivers, and ensuring our clients receive outstanding service every time. This is a fast paced environment that changes at the drop of a hat which requires an ever-evolving strategy to cope with customers' requests.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and allocate same-day delivery jobs to a fleet of drivers efficiently
Monitor driver performance and delivery progress throughout the day
Liaise with clients to provide real-time updates and solutions
Maintain operational precision amidst non-stop, same-day booking changes, evolving our strategy by the minute to deliver rapid and accurate client solutions
Work closely with internal teams to maintain high service standards
Use logistics software to manage bookings, track vehicles, and log activity

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in a courier or transport control room preferred but not essential
Strong geographical knowledge of the UK
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Calm under pressure with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with IT systems and Google-Drive
A team player with a flexible and can-do attitude
Strong people management skills
