The Gastroenterology team at Hereford continues to progressively and proactively evolve. The department is actively seeking an additional Consultant Gastroenterologist with an interest in therapeutic GI Endoscopy to support grow and evolve our Gastroenterology services.

The main duties and responsibilities of the Consultants are:
Consultant of the week 7-Day - Inpatient (1:8 weeks)
Outpatient Duties (7:8 weeks)
24 Hr Out of Hours Upper GI Emergency Endoscopy Out of Hours Rota (1in8)
Total Direct Clinical Care (DCC): 7.5 PA
Support Professional Activities (SPA) - 2.5 SPA OFF ward (7:8 weeks, 1.5 SPA On Ward (1:7 weeks)
Options to increase clinical or management PAs (by discussion, max 12 PA total)
Innovations to improve local services will be supported (e.g. Large Polypectomy, BSCP etc)
An Education or Research interest can be support by discussion and mutual agreement.
Undertake managerial duties associate with the care of their patients and the running development of their clinical department
Engage fully with the Hospital Strategy and the strategic direction of the wider Trust
