Overview
We are seeking a friendly and versatile Café All Rounder to join our small team in Heacham. The role will be 2-3 days per week which includes Thursdays and weekends.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a small business where you will gain experience across various aspects of café operations.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and have strong customer service skills. Previous experience in food service is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
As with all hospitality, you need to be able to move calm but quickly during rushes and be proactive at finding jobs to do during slower periods, whether that's clearing tables, cleaning or prepping for the next day.
The role will include..
- Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks
- Assisting with food preparation, including assembling sandwiches & toasties
- Serve customers efficiently and politely at the counter or table
- Cleaning tables, crockery and equipment
- Follow food safety procedures at all times to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Take orders & payments
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
- Support other team members during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or food service background is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices desirable
- Ability to serve customers with professionalism and friendliness
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work shifts that will include weekends and holidays as required
Pay: £12.71-£13.21 per hour
