Salary: £28,028 to £28,978 per annum, depending on qualifications (With sleep-ins paid at £64.95 per night)
Hours: Full time (38 hours per week) You will be required to work shifts.

About the role
We are seeking experienced residential childcare professionals to make a real, lasting impact.
For some young people, the behaviours caused by the trauma they have experienced means they need additional support. Every milestone in our disability services is celebrated and treasured. While there will still be an opportunity to work directly with young people, you’ll also take on some extra responsibilities – line managing support workers, overseeing staff performance and welfare, and directing staff and resources effectively during shifts, including participation in an on-call rota to ensure continuous service delivery.
About you
As a Children’s senior support worker, no two days are the same and you will be instrumental in creating a nurturing and supportive environment where young people can thrive and achieve positive outcomes.
You will encourage new experiences and support young people to develop their own identity, confidence, and independence, along with the help and guidance of your colleagues and Break’s therapeutic services.
Day to day you may find yourself planning and taking part in trips and activities alongside learning new skills to help young people overcome communication difficulties.
This role may occasionally involve a physical element helping young people in and out of wheelchairs and using hoists.
You will need to successfully complete a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within the first 24 months of support work- This will be fully funded by Break and you will be supported by our training team.
Please note that you must have a full, valid, manual driving licence.
