We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Mill House Veterinary Surgery on a full-time fixed-term basis (6 months contract)
Mill House offers clients 24-hour hospitalisation and advanced emergency care from a single site – no remote answering services with CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopic and multi-parameter monitors used for general anaesthesia. We have experience within our team and pride ourselves on training and supporting students and new graduates. Our Nurses have their own dedicated consulting rooms. We are proud to be one of the few practices in the country to have 6 outstanding awards as part of the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme. Mill House is a cat-friendly practice with separate wards and waiting areas.
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.
You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
Working Pattern
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Answering the telephones promptly
- Dealing with queries or redirecting appropriately
- Recording information accurately on our IT system
- Process credit/debit card payments and cheque payments
- Maintain the reception & waiting room areas.
