Corporate Policy Officer
Starting salary up to £40209 per annum (plus cost of living)
Full Time 37 hours per week Monday - Friday
Based at King’s Court Council Offices, King’s Lynn with hybrid working
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and proactive Corporate Policy Officer to join our Corporate Governance team, helping to shape and support key council policies that make a real impact on our communities. This varied role sits at the heart of the organisation, supporting important areas such as safeguarding, equality, domestic abuse and wider corporate priorities.
You will work closely with colleagues across the Council and with external partners, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining policies, coordinating training and supporting compliance with statutory duties. From leading on safeguarding coordination to supporting Equality Impact Assessments and driving forward initiatives such as White Ribbon accreditation, your work will directly influence how we deliver safe, inclusive and effective services.
You will bring strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to interpret legislation and translate it into practical advice and guidance. Confident building relationships and working across teams, you will be comfortable handling sensitive issues and supporting colleagues in complex situations. Your ability to communicate clearly, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work are essential.
