About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Vehicle Painter & Prepper to join our busy used car dealership. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing vehicles for paintwork and carrying out high-quality refinishing to ensure our stock is presented to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles and panels for painting, including sanding, masking, filling, and priming.
- Mix and apply paint to manufacturer standards.
- Carry out smart repairs and full-panel resprays as required.
- Polish and finish painted surfaces to a high standard.
- Inspect completed work to ensure excellent quality and colour matching.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
- Work efficiently to meet dealership preparation deadlines.
- Identify and report any additional vehicle damage or defects.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a vehicle painter, prepper, or paint technician.
- Good knowledge of automotive paint systems and repair techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
