Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Openreach Civils Gangers to lead civils teams across projects throughout the Midlands.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with telecoms civils experience who can lead from the front, maintain high standards on-site, and support successful fibre network delivery.
The Role
As an Openreach Civils Ganger, you will be responsible for supervising civils gangs carrying out excavation, reinstatement, and telecoms infrastructure works on highways and footways.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with Openreach and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising and coordinating civils teams on-site
- Overseeing excavation, ducting, reinstatement, and associated civils works
- Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with Health & Safety regulations
- Conducting site checks and maintaining compliance with company procedures
- Managing materials, plant, and workforce resources effectively
- Liaising with supervisors, clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Supporting team members and maintaining productivity on-site
- Ensuring work is delivered to specification and within project timescales

Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in telecoms civils or utility infrastructure
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Good understanding of Openreach standards and street works
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively
- Safety focused with excellent communication skills
- Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented
