Are you passionate about supporting children with emotional behavioural difficulties? How would you like to join an up-and-coming company as a Children’s Residential Support Worker?

Job Title: Children’s Residential Support Worker

Location: Acocks Green, B27

Estimated total package: £31,900 - £33,900 (based on 2 sleep-ins per month)

Bonus Scheme: Up to £3000 per annum in performance-based bonuses

Enhanced Overtime: +£2.20 per hour!

Hours: Full time, up to 40 hours per week (+ sleeps required)

Shift pattern: 7:30-21:30, 1 on 2 off (flexibility required)

Insight Care Group are a specialist provider of Residential Childcare for young people with learning disabilities and emotional behavioural difficulties. Our mission is to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive, grow, and develop their independence. Led by a therapeutic PACE approach, our organisation is committed to providing the best possible opportunities for the children across our Ofsted regulated children’s homes.

The home itself is a warm and welcoming three-bedded emotional behavioural difficulties children’s home designed to provide stability, support, and opportunities for young people to thrive. The home offers: a spacious games room; comfortable lounge area; dedicated quiet space; large garden for outdoor activities and wellbeing.

The Registered Manager has over seven years of experience in residential EBD care, including five years in a management position, and has successfully led teams in delivering high-quality, therapeutic care to children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs. They have been described by Ofsted as being a manager who “keeps children at the heart of all she does.”

Our Package and Benefits:

✨ Basic pay: £13.30 - £14.30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, plus £50 per sleep-in

✨ Estimated package: Earn up to £32,900 per annum,based on 2 sleep-ins per month

✨ Enhanced Overtime Rate: An additional +£2.20 per hour over your contracted hours

✨ Additional Staff Bonuses: Opportunity for the whole staff team to earn up to £3000 each, based on performance!

✨ Training & Development: Enrolment onto a fully funded Level 4 in Residential Childcare qualification, paid induction program, and continuous training opportunities, including the therapeutic ‘PACE’ approach, and a realistic pathway to management with opportunity to complete a Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare!

✨ Wellbeing & Recognition: Access to six free counselling sessions, Employee Wellbeing Program hosted via Wisdom, access to an online GP via Livi, a £25 voucher on your birthday, Employee of the Month rewards, and eligibility for a Blue Light Card!

✨ Holidays & Leave: 5.6 weeks (28 days) of paid annual leave, including bank holidays.

The Role:
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding therapeutic care, and creating a safe, stimulating environment for children at all times. Your key responsibilities will include:

✨Being a role model: Act as a positive role model for young people and colleagues, provide guidance and support to young people in order to create a safe and happy environment for everyone at Insight Care.

✨ Supporting Young People: Act as a key worker, promote life skills, independence, and personal development. Plan and participate in engaging activities and educational programs.

✨ Care Planning: Support with the development and updating of personalised care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support plans to meet the needs and goals of each child, with a keen focus on their views, wishes, and feelings. Experience using ClearCare is preferred, but not essential.

✨ Safeguarding & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to safeguarding policies and ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.

✨ Communication: Build strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies to ensure unrivalled holistic care for young people.

Key Requirements:

✨ Experience working with young people in a residential care setting.

✨ Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.

✨ Commitment to the safety, well-being, and development of children.

✨ An empathetic and resilient nature.

✨ Full Manual UK Driving Licence (preferred).
