Full job description

**We are located in Torcross TQ72TQ and you must be able to commute to Torcross for split shifts and weekends**

We want fun, enthusiastic, confident people who are not afraid of hard work to join our friendly team and busy working environment.

Gorgeous sea-side setting and popular family run pub.

Full training provided.

Bubbly personality and enthusiasm is more important than past experience.

Working split shifts including weekends and evenings is required.

Must be able to get to and from Torcross TQ7 2TQ. Please note that public transport does not run after 6pm .

Summary

In the role of Kitchen Assistant, you will support the culinary team by ensuring efficient food preparation and maintaining a clean kitchen environment. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will utilize your core skills in food safety and kitchen experience to assist with meal preparation and food handling. Your premium skills in catering and restaurant experience will enhance the overall dining experience. By contributing to a well-organized kitchen, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all meals prepared.
Support chefs in cooking and meal preparation tasks as needed.
Serve food to customers.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Experience if possible

Familiarity with restaurant environments and serving techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
