Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our vibrant educational team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee classroom activities in the absence of teachers, ensuring a seamless learning experience for students. Your energetic approach and strong communication skills will foster a positive environment, maintaining high standards of behavior and engagement. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to student success while gaining valuable experience in education and support services.

Duties

Supervise students across various classrooms, maintaining discipline and promoting respectful behavior
Deliver pre-prepared lessons or activities provided by teachers, ensuring continuity of learning
Manage classroom resources and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for all students
Support students with special educational needs, including those with disabilities or autism, fostering their participation and confidence
Assist with behavioral management strategies and de-escalate conflicts using positive communication techniques
Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor student progress and provide feedback on classroom dynamics
Encourage creative writing and mentoring opportunities to motivate students and enhance their academic growth

Requirements

Prior experience working with children or in educational settings is highly desirable
Knowledge of special education practices and experience supporting individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, teachers, and parents
Experience in tutoring or mentoring roles that demonstrate patience and adaptability
Ability to manage multiple tasks confidently while maintaining a lively and motivating presence
Creative writing skills to inspire student expression and participation in classroom activities
A proactive attitude with a passion for fostering inclusive learning environments
