Membership Coordinator
Salary: £26,000 to £30,000 (dependent on experience)
Location: Henley-on-Thames (2 days a week in the office)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Full-time
Closing date: Monday 3rd August (5pm)
The opportunity
Our members are at the heart of everything we do at the RCC, and this role is at the heart of how we look after them. As our Membership Coordinator, you'll be the person who makes membership work: welcoming new members, keeping records accurate, making sure benefits land as promised, and being a friendly, knowledgeable first point of contact throughout every member's journey with us.
You'll work closely with our Membership & Events Manager and Marketing & Events Coordinator in a small, collaborative team where your ideas for doing things better will be genuinely welcomed, and where you'll see the direct impact of your work on the people we serve.
What you'll be doing
- Managing the full membership journey — applications, renewals, certificates and everything in between — so members always receive a smooth, professional service.
- Keeping our CRM accurate and up to date and working with the Operations team to protect member data and ensure quality and consistency across our systems.
- Administering the benefits our members value e.g. online training, partner offers and more.
- Being the friendly voice of the RCC — responding to member and prospective-member enquiries by email and phone.
- Supporting recruitment and retention — from outreach to universities and institutions, to coordinating member surveys and delivering our Post Registration Training programme.
- Producing membership reports on recruitment, retention and benefit usage that help shape what we do next.
- Lending a hand with events and conferences (online and face to face).
- Spotting ways to make our membership processes sharper, simpler and better.
About you
You'll be an organised, detail-driven administrator who understands what great member service looks like — because you've delivered it before. You'll need:
- Experience working in a membership organisation, professional body or charity.
- Proven administrative experience with strong attention to detail.
- Hands-on experience with CRM or membership database systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — warm, clear and professional.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Confidence with Microsoft Office.
It would be a bonus if you also have knowledge of CPD or accreditation processes, or experience handling confidential information — but if you don't, we'll help you get there.
What we offer
- Company pension scheme
- 24 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
- hybrid/flexible working
- training and development.
