Overview
We are seeking a Server/Fryer to join our team. We are a small business with high standards of food quality and customer care to maintain. Experience of working in a fish and chip shop or other relevant food business is desirable but full training will be provided for the right person.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Fryer, you will play a crucial role in preparing delicious fried food, ensuring that every meal meets our hospitality standards.
During your shift as fryer you will multitask to assist the server and maintain high levels of customer service ensuring that orders go out correctly in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate must be able to work under pressure and keep their cool in a busy environment. We are looking for someone who can think on their feet, work well with others, communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, is conscientious, trustworthy and reliable.
This is a part time role, minimum 16 -24 hours but hours and pay are negotiable for the right candidate. We are ideally looking for someone who is capable of covering the role and responsibilities of the business owner were he to need to take a step back. Therefore responsibilities may increase upon successfully completing a trial period and becoming established in the role.
Flexibility is vital, applicants must be available to work varied shifts Monday - Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of fried foods according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked to perfection.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients as necessary.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Help maintain inventory levels of supplies, notifying management when stock is low.
- Participate in regular training on food safety practices and kitchen equipment usage.
Experience
- Previous experience in a fast food environment is preferred. Especially experience in a fish & chip shop,
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is prefferred but again full training will be provided.
- A strong work ethic and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are vital for success in this role.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
Work Location: In person
