The Role:
You will support the Artwork/Repro team by primarily preparing and despatching accurate customer proofs quickly and efficiently, ensuring they meet customer expectations. As you progress, you will be trained to pre-flight, validate Technical Drawings, amend artworks and create and repro artworks for print.
This role is ideal for someone who has an interest in primary packaging design and has a strong attention to detail with a reliable work ethic. These qualities will help to open further opportunities within the team.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and despatching accurate customer proofs
- Assist in digital tasks such as pre-flighting and technical drawing validation.
- Support artwork preparation for print projects
- Maintain accurate records
- Work collaboratively with production team members and account managers
- Use core computer skills to collaborate with colleagues and complete daily tasks
- Keep a clean, organised, and professional working environment

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent (incl. English and Maths)
- It is essential that the successful candidate is computer literate (Mac and PC preferred), with experience using the Adobe Creative Suite particularly Adobe Illustrator.
- Any previous experience within packaging pre-press an advantage.
- Consideration will also be given to experienced Mac operators from the offset print industry.
- Candidates may be asked to work paid overtime from time-to-time to meet client’s deadlines.
