Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is committed to Equality and Diversity, with a range of occupational health and support services available to all staff.

You will support patients, their carers and healthcare representatives, transporting them on journeys to and from healthcare appointments, and helping hospitals discharge patients when they are fit enough to leave a hospital setting.

Most importantly, you will need to be polite, professional, and eager to make the patients experience a pleasant one.

We provide such an important service for those patients with medical conditions which mean they can't get to their appointments any other way and being thanked for getting them there makes me feel like I'm doing something really worthwhile" (ACA based at Wakefield).

"I enjoy using my skills to adapt my style of communication to individual patient needs. Sometimes I need to give a clearer explanation of the manual handling task that we are about to complete - but I find it rewarding to be able to support patients with complex mobility needs to and from the hospital" (ACA based at Huddersfield).

Please also note this job role requires you to attend a 4 week training course somewhere within Yorkshire
