We Are Gateway are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our fully welded chassis production line.
This is a hands-on leadership role and applicants must have previous welding experience and be confident working within a welding and fabrication environment. The successful candidate will be expected to lead from the front, support the team on the line and maintain high standards of safety, quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting a team on a busy welded chassis production line
- Ensuring work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures
- Supporting and maintaining welding and fabrication standards
- Monitoring quality, productivity and output
- Allocating work and supporting operators throughout the shift
- Providing coaching, guidance and day-to-day direction
- Escalating issues, delays or concerns to management
- Promoting good housekeeping, attendance and behavioural standards
- Supporting continuous improvement activities
About You
- Previous team leader or supervisory experience preferred
- Essential: Previous MIG welding/fabrication experience
- Able to read and understand manufacturing drawings
- Strong understanding of quality standards within a welding environment
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Reliable, proactive and able to lead by example
- Strong awareness of health and safety
