We are looking for a motivated and practical Telecoms Engineer to join our installation team. This role involves carrying out domestic and commercial installations, ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally, and to a high standard.
The Role
As a Telecoms Engineer/Installer, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and commissioning of internet and communications equipment at customer sites. You will represent the business on-site and play a key role in delivering an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission satellite and internet connectivity solutions.
- Mount and align antennas and communication equipment on rooftops, walls, poles, and other structures.
- Run, terminate, and neatly route internal and external cabling.
- Configure routers, networking equipment, and customer connectivity services.
- Test and verify signal quality, network performance, and system functionality.
- Provide customers with a professional handover and basic user guidance.
- Maintain accurate installation records, photographs, and job documentation.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures while working at customer premises.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Experience carrying out domestic and/or commercial telecoms, satellite, aerial, broadband, or similar installations.
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders, roof ladders, harnesses, and associated safety equipment.
- Basic networking knowledge, including routers, Wi-Fi systems, and structured cabling.
- Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience with wireless broadband, satellite internet, fibre, or networking installations.
- ECS, IPAF, Working at Height, or similar industry certifications.
- Experience installing or maintaining CCTV systems would be a distinct advantage, but not essential.
