Simpac, a manufacturer of packaging and packaging materials, is seeking a highly organised and experienced Flexographic Print Operator to work within the print department. Serving customers in the agricultural and industrial markets both in the UK and Europe.
Ideally you will be trained as a flexographic printer, experienced in wide web multi-colour machines. Preferred candidates will be capable of running our print press relatively quickly following a short period of training.
Candidates without experience will be considered but should possess mechanical knowledge and a past in setting and running machines.
Responsibilities:
You will be required to operate efficiently in both pre-press and print duties, showing experience in mounting and setting multi-colour work from line print to more complex process print.
-Planning & setting of jobs to customer specification, working in line with business operating instructions
-Machine & Equipment maintenance / cleaning
-Print Quality Control
-Material preparation involving manual handling
Hours of work: Mon – Thu 6am - 3pm; 10.30am - 7.30pm (30min unpaid lunch break)
Fri 6am - 11am; 11am - 4pm (no lunch break)
39 Hrs / Week - Rotating day shift
This is a full time role, immediate start and genuine long term opportunity.
