About the role.
We're looking for a motivated Compliance Lead to become an integral part of our team. Working closely with the Technical Controller and site management team, you'll provide vital technical and administrative support, helping to maintain high standards, improve efficiency, and contribute to the ongoing success of the site.

Accountabilities.

Maintain, organise and control documentation within the Food Safety & Quality Management System, ensuring accuracy, compliance and accessibility.
- Actively contribute to the site HACCP Team, supporting the development, review and implementation of food safety controls.
- Play a key role within the site Crisis Management Team, supporting traceability exercises, emergency response activities and business continuity planning.
- Coordinate equipment calibration and servicing programmes to ensure compliance with site standards and regulatory requirements, while maintaining the QA calibration schedule.
- Support the Hygiene Manager in maintaining and reviewing the site chemical register to ensure compliance and best practice.
- Manage and coordinate the site's BRC internal audit programme, working closely with internal auditors to ensure audits are completed effectively and on schedule.
- Conduct internal audits, prepare detailed audit reports, identify corrective actions and drive the timely closure of non-conformances.
- Assist the Technical Controller in reviewing customer, retailer and third-party audit standards, undertaking gap analysis and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the planning, hosting and successful delivery of third-party audits and internal assessments, presenting information and demonstrating site compliance.
- Monitor, analyse and trend environmental, finished product, allergen and water testing results, identifying opportunities for improvement and risk reduction.
- Provide proactive administrative and technical support to the Quality Assurance and Technical teams, including report generation, data management, event coordination, record keeping and general departmental administration.
Qualifications:
- Experience working to tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience within a customer-focused manufacturing or production environment.
- Food Safety and HACCP Level 2 qualification (or equivalent knowledge and experience).
- The ability to work effectively with colleagues, customers and stakeholders from a wide range of backgrounds and functions.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent numeracy and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Working knowledge of SAP and/or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Experience using stock control and warehouse management systems.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to build positive working relationships across all levels of the business.
- A proactive approach to accountability, taking ownership of responsibilities and supporting others to achieve shared objectives.
- The ability to consistently deliver high-quality results, even when working under pressure.
- A collaborative working style, building strong partnerships and working effectively as part of a team to achieve business goals.
- A positive and engaging approach that helps create a culture where people are motivated to perform at their best and contribute to the success of the organisation.

Hull:
Our Hull plant is where we make all our cheesy appetites, and even if you think you haven’t tasted our products before, because of our large portfolio of foodservice establishments, it’s likely you probably have! Our small, but perfectly formed team of around 130 make everything from halloumi fries to chilli cheese nuggets.
