Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistants / Practitioners to join our exciting early childhood education team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children within a nurturing environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about childcare and early years education to contribute positively to children's growth and learning experiences.

Duties

Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging activities tailored to children's developmental stages
Support children with daily routines, including mealtimes, naps, and personal care
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and learning
Observe and record children's progress, behaviour, and interests to inform future planning
Promote positive behaviour management strategies in line with nursery policies
Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure children's needs are met comprehensively
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery environment to uphold high standards of hygiene and safety
Support children with special educational needs or additional requirements as needed

Experience

Previous experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting is highly desirable
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages would be beneficial.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with colleagues and parents
Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation or outings
Experience in managing groups of children and leading activities confidently is preferable.
