What you need to know about the role
You will be responsible for managing a wide range of master data to support critical business processes. Your role will include both maintaining the data and the support systems behind them.
Working as a Business Reporting Analyst you will primarily support the Commercial function; however the scope of the role covers all business functions including Finance, Production, and Logistics. You will be providing timely and accurate information to all levels of the Business in areas such as decision support, statutory reporting and to support both tactical and strategic analysis.
The role involves active reporting which will see you collate and analyse data in a structured methodical way to ensure it is accurate, while developing tools to streamline and automate the provision of a wide variety of business metrics and reports.
You will maintain excellent working relationships with key BSL managers developing sufficient business knowledge and to provide leadership on how to turn business requirements into effective reporting and data management.
What we need to know about you
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record or starting a career as a business analyst, including:
- You need to have demonstrable experience of complex data manipulation and analysis.
- Excellent IT skills are a pre-requisite, specifically Microsoft Excel at advanced level (Power Query etc.), database and SQL skills.
- Knowledge of Master Data Management
- Previous experience of database design is desirable
- Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools
- Experience of SAP S4 HANA is desirable
- Excellent communications skills are required for this role as you will be reporting to all levels of the business from Senior Management to shop floor
- A willingness to develop your IT skills to support legacy systems and develop new utilities, coding in a variety of languages such as Java.
