About the Role

We are looking for an Information Systems Technical Support professional to join our IT team in Hull.

This role is responsible for providing high-quality infrastructure and end-user support across the business, ensuring systems, devices, and services remain reliable, secure, and fully operational. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining IT assets, and supporting the continued development of our technology environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys problem-solving, delivering exceptional customer service, and working across a diverse range of technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and business applications
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, server, and network-related issues
Manage incidents and service requests through the IT Service Desk, ensuring agreed service levels are met
Provision and maintain IT equipment, ensuring accurate asset management and inventory records
Support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Azure Active Directory
Assist with the maintenance and support of Windows Server environments and network infrastructure
Monitor, update, escalate, and document incidents in accordance with IT support processes
Support office moves, equipment installations, and user onboarding activities
Ensure all IT activities comply with company policies, governance standards, and Health & Safety requirements
Promote the effective use of IT tools and technologies across the business

Qualifications

Experience in an IT Support, Service Desk, or Infrastructure Support role
Strong understanding of Active Directory user administration
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Azure
Experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments
Experience supporting iOS, Android, printers, and end-user devices
Understanding of network troubleshooting and connectivity issues
Experience working with ITIL-based ticketing or service management systems
Working knowledge of Windows Server environments
Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Desirable

Experience with PowerShell, VBA, VBScript, or other Microsoft scripting technologies
Advanced Windows Server administration experience
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL (DBA and/or T-SQL)
Experience with Citrix or Remote Desktop Services
Exposure to web-based back-end technologies
