Full job description

Trainee Accountant

If you’re looking to begin or progress your career in accountancy practice, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, experienced team where you’ll gain hands‑on exposure across bookkeeping, accounts and payroll. You’ll work with a variety of clients, develop practical skills, and study towards AAT, ACA or ACCA with full encouragement from the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

Handling day‑to‑day bookkeeping tasks, including bank reconciliations and ledger updates
Processing invoices, payments and expenses accurately
Assisting with month‑end and year‑end reporting
Supporting the preparation and submission of VAT returns
Helping with the processing weekly and monthly payrolls
Communicating professionally with clients and colleagues

About You

Proactive, organised and able to manage your workload effectively
A collaborative team player with a positive, can‑do attitude
Comfortable using accounting software and keen to learn new systems
Looking to study or currently studying AAT, ACA or ACCA
Strong attention to detail and a genuine desire to build a long‑term career in accountancy practice
Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills
