Full job description

Job Summary
We are urgently seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team in Torquay. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties. This role requires a proactive approach, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in plumbing and related trades to contribute to high-quality service delivery.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised tools to complete tasks accurately.
Conduct inspections to identify issues within plumbing systems and determine appropriate solutions.
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate installations or repairs.
Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex plumbing problems effectively.
Carry out carpentry tasks related to plumbing installations or modifications where necessary.
Work with basic maths to measure, cut, and fit components precisely.
Assist with assembly of plumbing components and systems as required.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Maintain organised work areas and document completed tasks thoroughly.

Qualifications

Proven experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair.
Proficiency with welding, hand tools, power tools, and other relevant equipment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Competence in basic maths for measurements and calculations.
Experience with carpentry or assembly work is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Valid driver’s licence for commercial driving is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of safety procedures related to working with plumbing systems and power tools.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to delivering high standards of workmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £60.00-£80.00 per hour
