Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. Duties
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and organising medication orders
- Provide guidance to patients on medication usage, storage, and potential side effects
- Support medication administration processes where applicable, ensuring safety standards are maintained
- Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
- Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety regulations
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reordering supplies as needed
- Engage with patients courteously, offering excellent customer service and support
Experience
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medications
- Experience working with pharmacy management systems and electronic health records is desirable
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients and colleague
