Full job description

This opportunity would suit someone with previous accountancy practice experience who is looking to join a supportive and forward-thinking firm where development and progression are encouraged. We are keen to find the right individual who is looking to build a long-term career within practice.

The Role

As part of the team, you will be involved in a varied and hands-on role, including:

Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Completing bookkeeping
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Preparing and submitting MTD filing
Supporting clients with day-to-day queries and building strong working relationships
Working closely with Director across a varied client portfolio
You will gain exposure to a broad range of clients and industries, helping you further develop both your technical skills and confidence in a client-facing role.

You will ideally have:

A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a UK accountancy practice environment
AAT qualified or qualified through relevant practical experience
Experience preparing accounts and working with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or similar platforms
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
A proactive approach and willingness to continue learning and developing
The ability to work independently whilst also contributing positively to the team
