We are currently recruiting for an experienced IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Supervisor to join our team from 20th July to 24th August (subject to change). This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Rope Access professional to take a leading role in the safe execution and supervision of rope access operations across a variety of maintenance, inspection and repair projects.
Overall Purpose of Role:
IRATA level 3 rope access supervisor shall be capable of taking complete responsibility for rope access safety during work projects and will be conversant with relevant work techniques and legislation. To be able to demonstrate all the skills and knowledge of levels 1 and 2, have a comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques and the IRATA certification scheme and be familiar with the contents of the IRATA International Code of Practice. The IRATA L3 will ensure themselves and their team work in-line with the Applus UK Ltd Safe Working Operating Procedure. The role is all in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures to deliver the highest safety quality and business management standards.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
The Roles and Responsibilities of the IRATA Level 3 will include but not be limited to:-
- Maintain safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concerns.
- Technicians will be working on buildings or structures doing repair, inspection, FM, cleaning or maintenance work plus any reasonable additional task as required by Operations Team.
- Undergone and passed the training and assessment for Level 3.
- Perform specified range of rope access tasks.
- Work under instruction from Rope Access Project Manager or Service Coordinators.
- Conversant in rope access procedures, method statements and risk assessments.
- Responsible in the pre-use checks of his own and his teams rope access equipment.
- Competent in Rope rigging, selection of anchorages, deviations and rope protection.
- To carry out industrial rope access work based on his trade and skills.
- Able to operate simple machines and equipment.
- Possess good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on team work.
- Display positive attitude towards safety, training and environment.
- Takes pride in professionalism and a customer-centred focus.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Undertake concise reporting to Management and Clients.
- Ensure that daily report is completed for each job.
- Responsible for ensuring that all staff are kept productive during scope down time.
Qualifications and Experiences
Essential:
- IRATA Level 3 Certification
- CCNSG, IOSHH or Safety Passport Equivalent
- Relevant industry experience
- Technical understanding of Level 1 and 2 Syllabus
- High level of competence in rescue and rigging techniques
- Physically Fit for role
- Ability to comfortably and safely work at height
- Ability to adapt to change
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions
- Fundamental Computer literacy
- First Aid Certificate
Desirable:
- Technical Skills: Operation and maintenance of machinery, ability to troubleshoot problems, use of hand tools.
- Communication Skills: Verbal and written
- Team Working Skills: Ability to work with a range of professions, ages, experiences and abilities.
- Full UK Drivers Licence
- Rigging, ICATS or TTP Certificate
- Confined Space
- Offshore Certification
- Holding a valid MEWP certificate would be advantageous
- PASMA tower certification would be advantageous
