Full job description

Are you a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse looking to develop your career in a community-based setting? NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Community Staff Nurse to join our Treatment Room and Vaccination Service within East Renfrewshire HSCP. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, person-centred care while supporting individuals to maintain their health and independence within their local communities. Working both autonomously and as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will make a real difference to patients across a diverse range of clinical needs. All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

Full-time, Permanent
You will be based at Eastwood Health & Care Centre
Working Pattern: 5 days over 7

Key responsibilities:

Deliver skilled nursing interventions and treatments within treatment room clinics and community settings
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised programmes of care in partnership with patients and carers
Support the delivery of vaccination programmes including care provided to housebound patients
Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards
Work collaboratively with colleagues across primary care, community services and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
Supervise and support junior staff, students and new team members within the service
Participate in quality improvement activities, clinical audit, risk management and service development initiatives

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

Registered Nurse with current NMC First Level Registration
Relevant post-registration experience with evidence of ongoing professional development and revalidation
Excellent clinical assessment skills with the ability to deliver safe and effective patient-centred care
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with patients, carers and colleagues
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team environment
Good organisational, leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
Full driving licence with experience in community nursing, treatment room services or vaccination programmes being advantageous
