Job Description
Your purpose in the role
As Head of Programme Delivery, you will lead a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts while overseeing and driving transformational initiatives across the organisation. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that all transformational projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and to agreed quality standards, while aligning with the company’s strategic objectives.
Reporting to the Finance and Corporate Services Director, you will work closely with the Executive team and senior leaders to shape and deliver the organisation’s transformation agenda. You will bring strong leadership, commercial acumen, strategic vision, and clear communication, alongside a genuine commitment to developing people and building high‑performing teams.
This is a pivotal opportunity to operate at the heart of the organisation’s strategic priorities, turning concepts into delivery. You will join a high‑growth, global organisation that values clarity, collaboration, and purposeful leadership, where your expertise will have real impact and visibility. We offer the opportunity to influence at scale, steer meaningful transformation, and grow in an environment that supports learning, development, and long‑term success.
What you’ll do to succeed
Develop and implement the organisation’s programme of transformational projects aligned to our corporate strategy and long-term goals, providing strategic direction and leadership to the Programme Delivery team and ensuring resources and plans are aligned, building a track record of predictable delivery.
Direct, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Work within and evolve our change and delivery management methodology, chair the Programme Board and communicate progress, challenges and successes, ensuring the necessary inputs are prepared for the Executive Board, and attend Executive Board meetings to provide programme updates and support for decision-making.
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of transformational projects, holding Delivery Project Managers and Business Sponsors accountable for delivering projects on time, within scope, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
Implement robust frameworks, methodologies, and best practices for project management, allocating resources effectively to transformational projects, ensuring the availability of Delivery Project Managers and Business Analyst resources, providing Delivery Project Managers and Business Analysis support for operational projects where capacity allows, and ensuring there is appropriate project staffing of SMEs from functions outside Programme Delivery.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with transformational projects, develop and implement risk management strategies and contingency plans, and ensure regular risk assessments are conducted.
Define and track key performance indicators to measure the success of transformational programme benefits and conduct post-implementation reviews to assess the impact and sustainability of changes.
Establish and manage productive partnerships with suppliers, managing supplier relationships to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
Engage with key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure alignment and support for transformation initiatives, and manage Senior Leader (Business Sponsor) and Executive (Executive Sponsor) stakeholders to ensure they are executing their responsibilities to successfully deliver the project outcomes.
