Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC turning machines to produce high-quality components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, tooling, and precision machining techniques. The ideal applicant will have experience with Phillips software, and possess a solid foundation in mechanical knowledge and hand tools. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC turning machines, ensuring precise production according to specifications
- Programme machines using Phillips software, with particular emphasis on SolidWorks and related tools
- Adjust machine parameters to optimise efficiency and quality during production runs
- Conduct routine inspections of machined parts to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Perform milling, and other supplementary machining tasks as required
- Maintain and calibrate tooling, ensuring sharpness and accuracy for each job
- Use hand tools and power tools for minor repairs or adjustments to equipment or components
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Document production activities accurately in accordance with company procedures
- Proven experience in setting and operating CNC turning machines in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and tooling for machine setup and maintenance
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks
- Understanding of safety standards within a manufacturing setting
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
