We are a dynamic and expanding firm of Chartered Accountants, with offices in Lancashire and Cumbria, and we’re looking for an Business Administrator to join our Kendal office.

Our firm provides a comprehensive range of services, including accounting, tax, and advisory support, tailored to entrepreneurial businesses. From small enterprises to multi-million-pound companies, we deliver exceptional service and proactive, strategic advice.

The role

As a Business Administrator, you’ll experience the value of teamwork as you collaborate with the team on projects and assist senior members with managing a range of administrative tasks.

Apprenticeship Opportunity Available

This role is open to both experienced applicants and those looking to start their career through an apprenticeship.

For candidates interested in an apprenticeship route, this position can be supported through the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship programme, providing structured training and development alongside the role.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality administrative support including the preparation of letters, reports, database entries, and use of online systems, with exceptional attention to detail
Offer ongoing administrative support to the team on departmental tasks, projects and reports
Assist team members with ad hoc tasks as needed, embracing the variety and unpredictability of daily work
Complete assigned tasks promptly, and respond effectively to urgent issues as they arise
Maintain and update online databases to ensure accurate and current information is available
Communicate with clients professionally and efficiently via telephone, email, and in person
Answer incoming calls and handle enquiries in line with the firm's service standards
Provide contingency cover across departments when needed to ensure seamless business operations
Proactively seek ways to improve administrative processes
Support front-of-house duties and provide in-office assistance as required
