Full job description

We are seeking a Recruitment Administrator to join our team on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday). In this role, you will be responsible for managing the administration of both driver and non-driver vacancies, supporting the full 360 end-to-end recruitment process.

As Edinburgh’s principal transport provider, Lothian has delivered a first-class public transport service to the city for over a century. In recent years, we have expanded our operations to provide the same high-quality services across Midlothian, East Lothian, and West Lothian.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring timely and professional communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
Screen and shortlist CVs, providing regular updates and feedback to candidates at each stage.
Support the organisation and delivery of assessment centres and conduct interviews with prospective trainee driver candidates.
Ensure all recruitment compliance requirements are completed, including PCV, DVLA, CPC checks, and Right to Work verification.
Assist with the full onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth and efficient start at Lothian.
Maintain accurate data entry and administration, ensuring compliance with audit and regulatory standards.
Support recruitment events such as job fairs and open days to attract and engage new candidates.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is desirable
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with candidates and colleagues
Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Highly proficient in administrative tasks with strong data management capabilities
Experience in conducting interviews is desirable
A collaborative team player with a proactive and supportive approach
Good understanding and working knowledge of GDPR and data protection principles
Driving Licence is desirable as you will be required to travel between Lothian sites.
