Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pharmacy Dispenser/Technician/ACT, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care through precise medication management and pharmacy operations! A locally owned family business, we are recruiting detail-oriented and experienced pharmacy dispenser, technician and/or ACT to join our friendly pharmacy team. These energetic positions offer the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, community based environment dedicated to improving patient outcomes and care. You will be responsible for dispensing medications, delivering services and supporting clinical activities with a focus on safety, accuracy, and compassion

Job Summary
This vital role involves ensuring the precise verification of medication orders, supporting patient safety, and maintaining high standards of pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of medical terminology, and pharmacy procedures, particularly within community pharmacy. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care excellence in a fast-paced environment committed to safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Verify the accuracy of medication orders prior to dispensing, ensuring compliance with physician prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
Deliver a range of pharmacy services such as vaccinations, weight management and BP checks
Support medication administration processes by confirming correct dosages and patient details
Assist with medication intake procedures and patient service activities
Maintain accurate documentation of verification processes and inventory records
Adhere to infection control standards during all pharmacy tasks
Collaborate as a team with pharmacists, and healthcare providers (doctors, care homes etc)to optimise patient care delivery

Experience

Prior pharmacy experience in Community Pharmacy is highly preferred
Must be registered with the GPhC if a technician or ACT
Strong understanding of pharmacy procedures and protocols
Experience working with care homes and individual patients
Proven ability to perform accurate medication verification in high-volume settings
Knowledge of patient service principles and patient care standards and pharmacy services
