ECM (Vehicle Delivery Services) Ltd specialises in the nationwide movement of new and used vehicles via car transporter. With a fleet of over 500 transporters, we are part of the Constellation Automotive Group, which includes brands such as We Buy Any Car, Cinch and British Car Auctions. Our success relies on drivers, traffic teams and support functions working together to keep vehicles moving safely and efficiently across the UK.

Our Bodyshop is technically accredited and approved by major manufacturers. This is an especially exciting time to join us, as we’ve recently expanded to meet the increasing workflows.

The Role

Our Bodyshop Department is recruiting for a Shot Blaster to join the team. This is a hands-on role for someone with experience in shot blasting, surface preparation, or similar role with transferable interests. We’re looking for someone who can meet our standards, and follow safety procedures at all times to support production targets in a busy environment.

Full Job Description

Operate shot blasting equipment to prepare surfaces to the required standard
Check finished work for quality, cleanliness, and consistency
Carry out basic equipment checks and report any faults or issues
Work in line with all health and safety procedures
Support production deadlines and work effectively as part of the wider team
Keep the work area clean, organised, and ready for use

Requirements

Previous shot blasting, surface preparation, or industrial experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and a good work ethic
Ability to follow instructions and always work safely
Reliable with good timekeeping
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible approach to support operational needs when required
