Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for technical work and problem-solving, committed to maintaining safety standards and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify faults or potential issues
Perform repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems
Troubleshoot mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken
Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment as required
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
Collaborate with other team members to optimise maintenance procedures and minimise downtime

Experience

Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components
Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics effectively
Experience with diagnostic tools and repair equipment is highly desirable
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent are advantageous
