About us

H2 Cognitive Designs (H2CD) is a health technology company working at the intersection of cognitive science, clinical research, and large-scale digital assessment. We build platforms used to measure cognitive performance across clinical trials, occupational health programmes, and large institutional deployments in the UK and internationally.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to provide project management across a growing and dynamic organisation. This role will work closely with the Business Manager and the leadership team to provide detailed tracking of projects across the business.

The initial focal point of the role will involve coordinating the delivery of our MDR (Medical Device Regulation) programme, a fast-moving, multi-stakeholder body of work involving development, governance, and clinical teams alongside external stakeholders.

This will be an early priority, but it is one part of a broader remit. Over time, the role will expand to cover project tracking and coordination across the wider business, supporting multiple concurrent workstreams as the business continues to grow.

This role reports into the Business Manager and will work closely with research, development, clinical and governance team leads to keep the MDR programme and associated process change activity on track.

Alongside project tracking, the role supports the business in aligning day-to-day processes and ways of working with regulatory and operational requirements, helping ensure the organisation reliably delivers on what it commits to. This includes elements of change management, working alongside team leads to keep delivery aligned with wider business priorities.

This is a hands-on project management role suited to someone who can work independently, engage confidently with a range of stakeholders, and keep multiple pieces of work moving forward at pace.

Main Duties

Project Management

- Maintain an accurate, up-to-date view of project status, milestones, dependencies, and completion criteria across the business.

- Act as the initial point of co-ordination for the MDR programme, tracking milestones, dependencies, and completion criteria, and co-ordinating input from contributors to keep programme tracking current and meetings focused and efficient.

- Manage the ongoing interaction and submission journey with the regulatory authority, in conjunction with the Governance lead.

- Translate regulatory and programme requirements into clear, trackable actions for those producing supporting documentation and evidence.

- As the role develops, extend this same tracking and coordination approach to other projects and programmes across the business, providing the leadership team with visibility of progress, risks, and capacity across concurrent workstreams.

Change Management

- Support the business in aligning day-to-day processes and software development procedures with regulatory and operational requirements, helping ensure commitments made in submissions and plans are adhered to across the business.

- Work collaboratively across teams to support adoption of updated processes, using strong interpersonal skills to build engagement.

- Support the implementation of new systems and ways of working, tracking adherence.

- Maintain visibility across live projects to identify potential capacity gaps ahead of time.

- Work closely with the development team lead to align delivery milestones and priorities with the MDR programme and other business change initiatives.

- Maintain sufficient understanding of development processes and terminology to track progress effectively.

Essential Skills and Experience

Essential

- Experience in project management, ideally across complex or multi-stakeholder programmes.

- Good understanding of software development processes and terminology.

- Experience supporting change management within a process-driven or regulated environment.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage a complex, multi-workstream plan at pace.

- Confidence in building technical and regulatory knowledge quickly.

Highly Desirable

- Experience working within an agile or scrum-based software development environment, or familiarity with Scrum Master practices.

- Experience supporting a product or company through FDA approval or a comparable regulatory submission process.

- Experience with MDR (Medical Device Regulation) or equivalent regulatory frameworks.

- Background in a medical SaaS or software-as-a-medical-device environment.

What We Offer

- Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum depending on experience (Including London Weighting Allowance)

- 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with flexible working arrangements.

- Hybrid working pattern, with 3 days per week in our Central London office.

- This is a permanent, full-time position, subject to satisfactory performance during a 3-month probation review and successful completion of a 6-month probationary period.

- 30 days' annual leave based on full-time hours, pro-rata for part-time hours, plus paid bank holidays.

- Company pension scheme provided with a 3% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution.

Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
