As our next Business Development Executive, you'll be at the heart of our membership community, building relationships, supporting local businesses, and helping companies unlock the full value of being part of the Chamber. No two days are the same. One day you might be welcoming a new member and introducing them to the opportunities available; the next you'll be attending a networking event, speaking with business owners, or helping to shape a campaign that encourages even more organisations to join our growing community.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting people, is naturally curious, and wants to develop a career in business development, relationship management, or sales. Whether you're early in your career or looking for a fresh challenge, we'll give you the support, guidance, and experience to help you grow.

Working alongside our Membership & Growth Manager and the wider team, you'll play an important role in nurturing existing member relationships while helping us introduce the Chamber to new businesses across Cambridgeshire. You'll become a trusted point of contact, helping members access the services, events, training, and opportunities that will benefit them most.

You'll also help identify ways members can make even more of their membership, from sponsorship and advertising opportunities to international trade support and events. Behind the scenes, you'll keep our CRM up to date, help monitor member engagement, and ensure every interaction contributes to a positive experience.

Our events are a big part of what we do, so you'll enjoy getting out into the business community—welcoming delegates, making introductions, representing the Chamber, and helping businesses build valuable connections. Listening to member feedback and sharing ideas for continuous improvement will also be an important part of your role, ensuring we continue to evolve and deliver real value.

About You

You're someone who genuinely enjoys working with people. You're approachable, organised, and confident communicating with individuals from a wide range of industries. You like learning new skills, take pride in providing great service, and enjoy being part of a supportive team.

You don't need years of sales experience—we're looking for enthusiasm, initiative, and a willingness to learn. If you're proactive, positive, and excited by the idea of helping local businesses succeed, we'd love to hear from you.

Because you'll be visiting businesses and attending events across the county, you'll need a full driving licence and access to a fully insured vehicle for business use.
