The Role

In this dual role, you will manage our front-of-house experience and keep our daily administrative operations running smoothly. You will be the first point of contact for our customers, ensuring they receive a premium experience that matches the prestige of the vehicles we service.

At AMF, we take pride in being an independent Mercedes specialist with an impeccable reputation within both local and national automotive circles. Our exceptional service has garnered us a loyal clientele, some of whom travel from as far as Switzerland for our top-notch diagnostics and repair services. Every day is different, and we are privileged to be able to work on some very special cars, from 1960s classics in for restoration work, to brand new cars in for modifications. We have a great working environment where everyone gets along, and our small team has a shared passion for these cars.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Greet clients warmly upon arrival, manage check-ins/check-outs, and handle telephone, WhatsApp and email enquiries.
Booking & Scheduling: Coordinate and manage the bookings diary, scheduling diagnostics and service appointments and repairs efficiently.
Parts & Supplier Admin: Assist with ordering parts, tracking deliveries, and reconciling supplier invoices.
General Administration: Maintain digital and physical filing systems, update customer databases, and assist the Office Manager with daily administrative tasks.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a detailed-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the importance of exceptional customer care.

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience as a receptionist, administrative assistant, or in a customer-facing role (automotive industry experience is a major plus, but not essential).
Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written - with a professional and friendly demeanour.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workloads.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a quick adaptability to garage management software.
A basic understanding of or interest in cars is beneficial, though full training on our specific systems and automotive terminology will be provided.
