Plover Hygiene specialise in the work other companies can’t, won’t, or shouldn’t do.
From industrial deep cleaning and high-level access work to infection control, commercial kitchen hygiene, pressure washing, emergency response and specialist decontamination, our team tackles challenging environments every single day.
We are looking for another Specialist Cleaning Technician to join the team.
This is not a standard cleaning role. Some days you might be carrying out detailed cleaning work in a prestigious commercial building. Other days you could be working in heavy industrial environments, dealing with grease, dust, confined spaces, working at height, or responding to urgent callouts. The work can be physically demanding, dirty, fast-paced and occasionally long hours — but it’s varied, rewarding and genuinely important.
What you’ll be doing:
- Specialist commercial and industrial cleaning
- High-level cleaning using access equipment
- Pressure washing and exterior cleaning
- Kitchen deep cleaning and ventilation hygiene
- Graffiti removal and decontamination works
- Emergency and reactive cleaning callouts
- Working safely in complex or high-risk environments
- Travelling throughout Scotland and occasionally further afield
What we’re looking for:
- A strong work ethic and good attitude
- Someone reliable who takes pride in doing things properly
- Comfortable working in demanding environments
- Physically fit and capable of manual work
- Full UK driving license is a mandatory requirement - we cannot consider non-drivers for this role.
- Experience in specialist cleaning, industrial services, drainage, construction, engineering or similar trades would be advantageous — but attitude matters more than background
What you’ll get in return:
- Competitive pay with overtime opportunities
- Ongoing training and development
- Industry-recognised certifications and upskilling
- Proper PPE, equipment and support
- A strong health & safety culture
- A supportive management team who understand the job
- Varied work — no two weeks are the same
- Opportunities to progress as the company continues to grow
We’re proud of the culture we’ve built at Plover Hygiene. We work hard, look after each other, and take pride in delivering high standards in some very challenging environments.
If you want a role where you’ll genuinely learn skills, be part of a close-knit team, and do work that most people couldn’t handle, we’d like to hear from you.
