Key Responsibilities
- Route Planning: Schedule and optimise daily delivery routes for our Glasgow-based fleet to maximise efficiency and minimise delays.
- Driver Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing clear instructions, debriefing them after routes, and handling on-the-road issues.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all transport activities comply with legal requirements, including driver hours, tachograph regulations, and vehicle maintenance schedules.
- Customer Service: Liaise with the local sales team and customers to provide accurate delivery updates and resolve any logistical challenges swiftly.
- Administration: Maintain accurate transport records, update the internal logistics system, and manage delivery paperwork (PODs).

- Experience: Proven experience working within a transport, logistics, or couriering environment is highly desirable.
- Geographical Knowledge: A strong understanding of Scottish road networks and UK geography.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in transport management systems (TMS), vehicle tracking software, and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to confidently manage driver relations and customer expectations.
- Organisation: The ability to multitask, prioritise a heavy workload, and adapt to changing schedules on the fly.
