Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to support the Warehouse and Transport Manager, to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse.
Warehouse Supervisor Role
Your role as the Warehouse Supervisor is integral to enabling efficient delivery of electrical infrastructure solutions across the UK. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient and organised operation of the warehouse.
Reporting to the Warehouse & Transport Manager, you will supervise warehouse activities, support the maintenance of stock accuracy alongside our Stock Control Manager and coordinate deliveries and collections, working closely with the Procurement Team to ensure materials are available when required.
You will ensure that you are optimising storage solutions, maintaining plant machinery, responding to day-to-day activities whilst upholding a safe and productive work environment.
Your role will be in our warehouse environment, supporting goods in/good out, enabling our teams to deliver efficiently and always have the materials needed to fulfil our quality and safety requirements to our team and our clients.
Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations Supervision:
- Supervising warehouse activities, including; receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.
- Ensure inventory levels are accurate and up to date through regular audits and reporting.
- Support the implementation and optimisation of the SimPro stock management system.
Stock and Racking System (working alongside the Stock Control Manager) to:
- Oversee the installation and full operationalisation of a racking system to improve storage efficiency.
- Create and maintain clear labelling and inventory mapping systems for ease of access and tracking.
- Conduct periodic stock audits to achieve and maintain a minimum 95% accuracy rate.
Plant Machinery Maintenance and Servicing:
- Oversee the maintenance and servicing schedule for all plant machinery and warehouse equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Coordinate with service providers for scheduled inspections, repairs, and certifications as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of all machinery maintenance, servicing, and compliance checks.
- Train staff on proper use and basic maintenance of warehouse equipment to prevent misuse or damage.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Support a team of warehouse staff, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Support the development and implementation of staff training programs, ensuring cross-training and skill diversification across the team.
- Monitor team performance against KPI’s set by the Warehouse and Transport Manager, providing regular feedback and support
Health, Safety, and Compliance:
- Ensure the warehouse complies with all health and safety regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate hazards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment.
Operational Efficiency and KPI Monitoring:
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations, such as order fulfilment times, stock accuracy, and efficiency metrics.
- Identify and implement cost-saving and process improvement strategies to enhance productivity.
Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with the Warehouse and Transport Manager, Stock Control Manager and the Procurement Team, alongside other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Provide regular reports on inventory status, operational performance, plant machinery status, and staff productivity to senior management
About You
You will be a confident and hands-on individual with excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Essential
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or a similar managerial role
- Proficient user of Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proven experience with inventory management systems
- Can demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills
- Proven ability to organise and control.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
- Proven excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Can demonstrate the ability to work in a multi-task environment.
- Proven knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
- Proven experience implementing warehouse systems and optimising storage solutions
- Fork Lift Truck (FLT) Licence
- Full UK driving Licence
Desirable
- Proven experience with Simpro, or other stock management software
- Proven experience with maintaining and servicing plant machinery or overseeing such activities.
- Proven experience within the Construction or Electrical industry
- Proven experience of working within the ICP industry
- Technical understanding of warehouse equipment and plant machinery maintenance
- Certification in logistics, supply chain, or related fields
Salary:
£28,000.00-£32,000.00 per annum
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00, 40 hours per week
