Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Butter Processor to join our food production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the processing of butter in accordance with food safety standards and quality specifications. Duties
- Operate butter processing equipment following standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP protocols and maintain high standards of food safety throughout all stages of production.
- Monitor and adjust machinery to maintain optimal processing conditions, demonstrating mechanical knowledge as needed.
- Conduct quality checks on butter products, recording measurements and observations using basic maths skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and packaging of butter products, ensuring accurate labelling and documentation.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent contamination or accidents during processing.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets efficiently while maintaining product quality.
Experience
- Previous experience in food production or processing is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety standards is desirable but training is available.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with processing machinery is beneficial.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, weight calculations, and quality assessments are required.
- A proactive attitude towards health and safety practices within a food manufacturing environment is essential.
- This role is physical and requires manual handling.
