As a Head Door Supervisor with Ei Security, you'll be crucial in leading our front-line teams, ensuring public safety, and providing excellent service.
About the Role:
As a Head Door Supervisor, you will be the primary point of contact on-site, responsible for leading your team and ensuring the highest standards of safety and service. You will be responsible for:
- Leading, motivating, and managing a team of Door Supervisors (up to 8 people).
- Conducting pre-shift briefings and ensuring all team members are clear on their duties and responsibilities.
- Acting as the main point of contact for venue management, staff, and emergency services.
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment for all patrons and staff.
- Overseeing entry and exit points, ensuring your team conducts ID checks and manages queues efficiently.
- Preventing and de-escalating conflicts and professionally managing your team's response to challenging situations.
- Responding to incidents and emergencies promptly, taking command until relieved by emergency services.
- Working collaboratively with venue management to uphold licensing objectives and company policies at all times.
- Providing a visible, professional, and reassuring presence for your team and the public.
What We're Looking For:
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential).
- Proven previous experience as a Head Door Supervisor or in a similar supervisory security role (essential).
- Demonstrable experience in managing and supervising teams of up to 8 security personnel (essential).
- Previous experience working in a student-oriented environment (e.g., student unions, nightclubs, or events) is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong observation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- A calm and professional demeanor, especially under pressure.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
