Purpose of the Role
To lead the strategic planning and execution of high-performing SEO and Paid Media campaigns across a portfolio of clients. This hands-on, client-facing role is vital to campaign delivery and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of performance marketing, a commercially focused mindset, and a collaborative approach to working across departments to enhance team knowledge and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Client Strategy & Campaign Execution
- Develop and execute multi-channel digital strategies aligned with client objectives, with a focus on SEO and PPC performance.
- Plan, manage, and optimise paid campaigns across Google Ads, Bing, Meta, and LinkedIn, focusing on lead generation, ROI, and budget efficiency.
- Conduct keyword research, competitor audits, and audience targeting analysis.
- Implement on-site and technical SEO improvements, collaborating with developers and the content team as required.
- Optimise site architecture, metadata, schema markup, and content for search visibility and performance.
- Track, analyse, and report on campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Team Support & Development
- Share knowledge and contribute to upskilling across the team through training sessions, development workshops, and best practice sharing.
- Support process improvement and help refine campaign workflows to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with Content, Design, Development, and wider marketing teams to ensure cross-channel alignment and integration.
Client Communication & Insight
- Attend client meetings, calls, and planning sessions to provide strategic direction and performance updates.
- Present performance reports and strategic recommendations clearly and confidently, with a focus on business outcomes.
- Contribute to new business activity, including strategic planning and pitch preparation.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 3+ years’ experience delivering both SEO and PPC campaigns.
- Strong working knowledge of tools and platforms, including Google Ads, GA4, Search Console, Google Tag Manager, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Microsoft Ads.
- Deep understanding of technical SEO principles, including crawlability, indexing, site speed, schema, and structured data.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights to clients and stakeholders.
- Commercially minded — able to see the bigger picture and prioritise actions that drive measurable results.
- Confident working with data to inform strategy and decision-making.
Desirable Attributes
- Agency background with experience managing multiple clients across sectors.
- Comfortable leading training sessions or knowledge-sharing workshops.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, or CMS platforms such as WordPress or Shopify.
