Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Production Planner ideally with a manufacturing background and experience using ERP. This individual will be responsible for planning and scheduling production activities to ensure the efficient delivery of production items on time and within budget. This role involves close collaboration with the Production Coordinator and Production Manager to optimise workflow and ensure the smooth operation of production processes.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain production schedules, ensuring alignment with delivery requirements and operational capacity.
· Liaise with the Supply Chain Coordinator to communicate transport booking requirements and dispatch priorities.
· Monitor progress on production tasks and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
· Collaborate with the Supply Chain to ensure all required documentation, such as job sheets and works orders, is prepared and distributed.
· Communicate priorities and updates to the Production Supervisor.
· Participate in weekly production and commercial meetings to align site requirements with the production schedule.
· Maintain and update the Production Tracker, monitoring progress.
· Analyse data from production times to identify trends and provide insights for analysis.
· Prepare and present regular updates to the Supply Chain Manager on production performance.
· Coordinate with the Supply Chain Coordinator to address stock discrepancies and support stock take activities.
· Ensure production plans adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
· Identify and escalate any risks or non-compliance issues to the Production Manager.
· Perform any additional duties as required.
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production department.
Key Requirements
Essential:
· Proven experience in production planning or coordination within a manufacturing or production environment.
· Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Desirable:
· Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a production environment.
· Knowledge of production tracking tools or software.
Hours of Work
Our office hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 3:00pm on Friday's.

Pay: Up to £45,000.00 per year
