8am to 5pm, overtime available with 30-minute lunch and 2 x 15-min tea breaks

Your role:

Highly Skilled Aluminium Welder/Fabricator required for the production of aircraft refuelers for top global brands.
Working with 3-15mm aluminium, with various pipe and flange work.
You will need to be able to use initiative to complete the assembly of complex structures and work closely with our design team to develop tooling to improve production prosses for future builds.
Be part of a team approach to creating best practise for H&S within the workshop.
Working from drawings, you’ll fabricate and weld a variety of vessels and pipework
Involves all aspects of fabrication, including cutting, welding and finishing to a high standard
In-factory work with all PPE provided plus continuous training and development

Who we’re looking for:

Hard-working, quality-conscious welders with an eye for detail. You’ll need a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Aluminium welding & fabrication.

Essential:

· Knowledge of welding processes including MIG and TIG

· Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks including lifting and carrying

· Live within easy commuting distance of Heysham LA3

· Strong work ethic and a can-do attitude

· Basic maths skills; spoken English an advantage

· Able to read design/manufacturing drawings accurately

· Understanding of industry Health and Safety practices

· Experienced in the use of overhead cranes and slinging

· Use of gas-cutting equipment

· Eye for detail and can pass product to next department at a high standard

· Works well unsupervised and can weld in all positions

· References and previous welder coding
