Full-Time Permanent Floor Layer Required
Family-run flooring business based in Darlington is looking for an experienced full-time floor layer to join our team. Work will be carried out in Darlington and surrounding areas.
Duties include:
- Measuring and cutting flooring materials to fit specific areas
- Preparing surfaces by removing old flooring, repairing any damage, and preparing sub-floors with screed where required
- Installing and securing flooring materials including sheet vinyl, LVT, safety flooring, and other types of flooring
- Using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Applying adhesives and bonding agents to secure flooring materials
- Trimming excess material and leaving work areas clean and tidy after completion
Skills and requirements:
- Previous flooring installation experience essential
- Experience with sub-floor preparation and screeding preferred
- Confident using hand tools and power tools for cutting, trimming, and fitting flooring
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence essential - Company Van Provided
