Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable landscaper /greenkeeper to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining the golf course and surrounding grounds to a high standard, ensuring excellent playing conditions throughout the year.
This role is ideal for someone with previous golf course maintenance experience who can work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine golf course maintenance including:
- Mowing greens, tees, fairways, and roughs
- Bunker maintenance and raking
- Divoting and course set-up
- Strimming, edging, and general landscaping duties
- Operate and maintain turf machinery safely and effectively
- Assist with irrigation, drainage, and turf care programmes
- Apply fertilisers and treatments where qualified to do so
- Support seasonal renovation and improvement projects
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
- Maintain high presentation standards across all areas of the course
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Greenkeeper or Groundsperson
- Good knowledge of turf maintenance practices
- Ability to operate a range of greenkeeping machinery
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Sports Turf / Greenkeeping
- PA1 / PA6 spraying certificates
- Chainsaw or other machinery certificates
- Experience with irrigation systems
