About Blakes Meats
Blakes Meats is a wholesale meat business based at Brighton Meat Market. We supply trade customers across the region and pride ourselves on reliable service, quality product, and getting orders out accurately and on time. This role sits at the heart of that promise — keeping our customers happy and our dispatch running smoothly.
Purpose of the Role
The Customer Liaison & Dispatch Coordinator is the main point of contact for our customers and a key link between the sales, order processing, and transport functions. The bulk of the role is customer support — fielding queries, resolving problems, and making sure orders are handled correctly from placement through to dispatch. On Friday nights the role shifts focus to cover overnight dispatch and order processing, making sure vehicles are loaded and ready to go.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: Customer Liaison shift, 9:00am – 5:00pm / 10:00am – 6:00pm
- Friday: Overnight dispatch and order processing shift, 9:00pm – 5:00am (Friday night into Saturday morning).
This is an unusual but defined pattern: standard daytime hours through the week, switching to an overnight operations shift on Fridays. Applicants should be comfortable with the late/overnight Friday commitment.
