Full job description

Job Summary
Pharmacist should ensure that medications are dispensed safely and accurately, evaluate prescriptions for suitability, and provide expert advice on dosages, side effects, and storage. They also act as the first point of contact for minor health issues such as Pharmacist First and preventative care.

Core Responsibilities

Dispensing Medication: Accurately preparing, labeling, and dispensing prescription medications, as well as recommending appropriate over-the-counter (OTC) treatments.
Patient Consultations: Conducting clinical assessments to treat Pharmacy First common ailments (such as UTIs, earaches, and skin issues), providing health checks (e.g., blood pressure), Administration of Vaccines and offering lifestyle advice.
Prescription Review: Evaluating prescriptions to check for legality, safety, and potential adverse drug interactions.
Patient Education: Counseling patients on how to correctly take their medications, manage side effects, and use medical devices.
Medication Management: Reviewing patient medication needs and supporting initiatives to optimize treatment plans.
Public Health Services: Organizing and administering vaccination programs (e.g., flu, COVID-19) and promoting general public wellbeing.
Inventory & Compliance: Managing stock levels, ensuring the secure storage of drugs, and maintaining strict adherence to pharmacy legislation and professional codes of practice.

Licence/Certification:

GPhC (preferred)
